MARCEL BOGAERT Peacefully and with dignity, Marcel Bogaert passed away with his family by his side. Marcel's journey ended on April 24, 2008 following a long, courageous battle with cancer. He inspired all who knew him with a zest for life and his positive spirit. Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife, Mary-Jane (nee Devos); children, Melinda (Dale) Deschouwer, Bonita (Ralph) Yarjau, Rodney Bogaert and Gail (Mike) Espenell; grandchildren, Becky (Chris and Jaelen) and Brett Deschouwer; Rylan, Janelle, and Adam Yarjau; Sonia, Pascal, and Raquel Bogaert and their mother Lucienne; Jenaya, Dainon, and Annick Espenell; his sister Margaret Carels and brother George (Evelyn) Bogaert and numerous relatives and devoted friends. Marcel was born in Bruxelles, MB on December 6, 1934 to Emiel and Alma Bogaert. On October 10, 1959 he married the love of his life Mary-Jane. Together they raised their family on the farm in Bruxelles until the fall of 1993 when they moved to Winnipeg. Marcel loved travelling, camping, attending sporting events, especially those of his grandchildren, and enjoyed spending time with friends. He will be remembered for having a loving heart and a great sense of humour. Prayers will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 27, 2008 at Mary Mother of the Church, 85 Kirkbridge Dr. with public viewing at 6:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, April 28, 2008 also at Mary Mother of the Church.
