JEAN VALERIE GRABOSKI Peacefully on April 24, 2008, Jean passed away at the Charleswood Care Centre at the age of 85. Jean is survived by her son Richard (Sonia); grandchildren Christina and Lisa (Mark Abernethy). She was predeceased by her husband Walter and her parents Teodor and Helen Kowalski. Jean was born on February 23, 1923 in Zaleszczyki, Poland and came to Canada as a child. She spent several years owning and operating various businesses in and around Winnipeg. Jean enjoyed knitting, needlework, watching and attending Winnipeg sports teams. She adored her family particularly her granddaughters. The family would like to thank the staff at the Charleswood Care Centre for their care and compassion. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, April 28 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jean's memory to CancerCare Manitoba. 586-8044
