Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNORMAN GORDON HEYWOOD It is with great sadness that the family of Norman Heywood announces his sudden passing on April 24, 2008 at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 76. Memories of Norm will be forever cherished by his wife of 54 years, Margaret; his daughter Lee (Glen); his sons, Gordon, Douglas, David (Diane); granddaughters, Lisa, Rachel, Mary, and great-granddaughter Emily. He is also survived by his uncle Bill (Nada); brother Al (Eva); sister Shirley and their families. He will be very much missed by his daily walking buddy, his beloved Sam. Born in Winnipeg on October 14, 1931, Norm attended Victoria Albert, Hugh John Macdonald and Daniel McIntyre schools. He was an avid golfer and a champion bowler in both five and 10 pin. Norm was employed by Bulman Brothers for over 25 years then later started and retired from his own office coffee business. Norm leaves an empty space that no one can fill. He loved his family and was always there when they needed him. One of his frequent expressions was here goes Heywood's taxi service'. We miss you Dad, and always will. No formal service will be held. Friends are invited to share memories at a celebration of Norm's life at Churchill Park United Church, 525 Beresford Ave on Thursday, May 1 at 2:00 p.m. If friends desire, donations in Norm's memory may be given to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or CancerCare Manitoba. Dad my best friend I had so much to say to you, but did not get the chance. But I know that you knew. You were always there for me and the family. You made me the person I am today and I know you were proud. I miss you everyday already. I promise to do everything to take care of everyone the way you would have. Love your son forever.
