ROLAND JOSEPH PETIT At Concordia Hospital on Friday, April 25, 2008, Roland Petit passed away at the age of 65 years. He is the beloved husband of Marie Petit, cherished father to Shelley (Aaron) Thorne and Lisa (Shawn) Worster; proud grandfather of Alexandria and Madison Thorne and Drew and Katie Worster; step father to Patrick (Krista) Jacques and Natalie Jacques; brother to Evelene (George) Danneels, as well as his special friend Jazz. Roland returned to Winnipeg after a successful life in Atlantic Canada where he both owned and operated many successful restaurants and night clubs. He adored being in the kitchen and preparing meals for others. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 29 at 11:00 a.m. in the Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church, 710 Roanoke Street. The family would like to thank all the wonderful caring staff at the Concordia Hospital as well as the emergency and observation units and all the doctors who have taken such good care of him. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Roland's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
