WILLIAM (BILL) DERKACH Peacefully, after a brief illness, Bill passed away on Friday, April 25, 2008. Bill was born in Kalusch, Nowicia, Ukraine on February 3, 1924. He arrived in Canada on December 1, 1948. Bill was employed by the C.P.R. as a Carman and retired in 1984. He was very proud to belong to the Holy Family Parish since 1950. Surviving are his wife Annette (Nettie); children, Lisa Bell (Scott), Cathy Roy (Dave); proud grandfather to grandsons, Brady and Jaime DeLuca. He also leaves behind his nephew Jim Stevenson (Carol); his sister-in-law Mary Gatz (Bob) and many friends. Bill was predeceased by his parents, Theodor and Eudokia; his mother-in-law Anna; his sister Maria and his sister-in-law Jean. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at the Holy Family Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1001 Grant Ave. Interment at a later date. Flowers gratefully declined. If friends so desire, donations in Bill's memory may be made to the Elevator Fund, Holy Family Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1001 Grant Ave., Winnipeg, R3M 1Y3.
