NASTASIA (NETTIE) BEDNAR (nee KOHUT) Peacefully on April 24, 2008 at Concordia Hospital, Nettie passed away at the age of 88 years. She was predeceased by her husband Frank Peter in March 2005; her parents Gabriel and Katherine Kohut; brothers Bill and John; sisters Ann, Julia, Mary, Minnie and Helen. Mom is survived by her daughters, Patricia (Karl) Lenchuk and Joanne Hutchison, grandchildren, Jeff (Tracey) Lenchuk, Michelle (Bart) Palmer, Cheryl Lenchuk, Jocelyn (Mike) DeNora, Genevieve (Mike) Freeman, Janelle Dubois; and six little great-granddaughters who were her greatest joy in life, Desirae Lenchuk, Alyssa and Giana DeNora and Sara, Sydney and Stephanie Freeman. Nettie worked during the war years for Trans Canada Airlines and was proud of her work as a Junior Draftsman. It was here she met our dad Frank. Our mother was an extraordinary hostess and could be counted on to put together either appetizers or a five course meal on a moments notice. She loved each and everyone of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren unconditionally. Each visit made to mom and dads' home in Clandeboye was filled with love and comfort. It should be said that our Mother respected all life and was a true Lady. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 1 at 10:30 a.m. in the St. George's Anglican Church (PTH#9) North of Clandeboye with The Venerable Godfrey Mawejje officiating. Viewing will be held one-half hour prior to service. Pallbearers will be Bob Flock, Brian Stonyk, Bart Palmer, Mike DeNora, Mike Freeman, and Richard Armstrong. Flowers gratefully declined, a donation may be made to a charity of your choice. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk, in care of arrangements.
