Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySHIRLEY ANN NOWAK January 23, 1943 April 27, 2008 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Shirley Nowak on April 27, 2008 at the age of 65 in her residence. Predeceased by her father, Thomas McLeod and youngest daughter, Sandra Dearman (October Rose). Shirley will be lovingly remembered by her husband, John Nowak, children, Richard Dearman, Debra Cielen (Darryl), Jeffery Dearman (Lynn), stepchildren, Karin Bailey (Troy), and David Nowak (Karen). Also, grandchildren, Chris Ethier (Mellissa), Dayna Cielen (Jessie), Michelle Cielen, Dylon Dearman and great-grandchild, Nicholas Ethier. She is also survived by her mother, Madeline McLeod, sisters, Donelda Jeffery, and Karen Foy (Bill) and brother, Dennis McLeod. She will be sadly missed by her brothers-in-law Bruno Nowak (Gale) and Rudi Nowak (Ursula). Shirley also leaves to mourn many nieces, nephews and cousins Christine Hall (Steve), David Jeffery (Jennifer), Leanne Jeffery, Alanna McLeod (Gerald), Audra McLeod, Amanda McLeod (Dustin), Stacy McLeod (Kyle), Darryl Foy (Cathy), Kevin Foy (Darcie), Bryan Foy (Lindsay), Anita Cardoso, Jennifer Bregman (Chopper), Dawn-Marie Beyak (Ben) and all their children. Shirley will be dearly missed by her best friend, Noreen Swaharchuk and her special pet/companion Kallie. Shirley was born in Sherridan and lived in the Pas, MB until she was 14 years old. She then moved to Winnipeg in the late 1950's with her family. In her first marriage Shirley had four children, Richard, Debra, Jeffery and Sandra. For the past 18 years Shirley was happily married to her soul mate John. This brought together two families that included John's children, Karin and David Nowak. Shirley worked for the Seven Oaks School Division as a bus driver for 23 years, retiring in 2005. She was very proud of this responsible position and took her job very seriously. Every spring Shirley looked forward to opening up the cottage at Redditt, ON. She spent 20 wonderful summers at the lake where she enjoyed relaxing, fishing and spending time with family and friends. Shirley took pride in loving and caring for her family. Shirley's most precious gifts were her unconditional love, understanding and wisdom she shared to all whom were close to her. Shirley was generous and loyal to her family and friends. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street.
