PEARL (PEARLIE) STELKO (nee PODOLCHUK) Peacefully with her family by her side, Pearl passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2008, at the age of 80. Pearl was predeceased by her husband John in 1977 and from then on dedicated her life to raising her family. She was always there for her children and remained so until her passing. She was also predeceased by her parents and brother Harry. In her earlier years, she was a dedicated volunteer with the community club and hospital guild, where she spent tireless hours. She worked at Pineland Nursery for many years before retiring to the farm where she enjoyed the peacefulness of country life. She will be greatly missed by her children Luanna, Wendy (John), Rob (Wendy), Larry (Denise), Myrna (Neil) Rohrig, Lorraine (Earl) Henderson and Jeff, eight grandchildren Eddy, Johnny (Stephanie), Curtis, Lisa (Craig), Kyle, Kelsey, Melissa and Ashley and her brand new great-grandson Riley. She is also survived by her brother Billy (Minnie) Podolchuk of Thunder Bay, ON. She will also be missed by her best friend and companion Ranger. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 3 at Sobering Funeral Chapel, Beausejour, MB with Rev. George Johnson officiating. If friends so desire, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9 or a charity of one's choice. The family wishes to thank Dr. Spence and the nursing staff at the Pinawa Hospital for their care and compassion.
