Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNIE FLORENCE BELL Peacefully on Thursday, April 24, 2008 at the Charleswood Care Centre, Florence passed away in her 103rd year. She was predeceased by her parents Stuart and Christena Donald, daughter Donna, sisters, Peggy, Elsie, Mildred, brother John and husbands, Jack Crawford and Frank Bell. Sister Alice passed away April 27, 2008. Florence is survived by sister Jean, son-in-law Gerhard Schad (Peggy), grandchildren, Lisa and Eric Schad, step-daughters, Marion Graham, Roberta McCabe, Ruth Anderson and numerous extended family members. Florence was born on the family farm near Sinclair, Manitoba. She taught school for several years, lived in Pipestone, Morden and Brandon, before moving to Winnipeg in 1939 to reside at 105 Lanark. Lion's Place became her home at age 90. Ailing health required her to move to Charleswood Care Centre in November 2007. One of Florence's most memorable events was the celebration of her 100th birthday with family and friends. She was a faithful, longtime member of St. Andrews River Heights United Church. Florence enjoyed the staff and residents during her many years at Lion's Place. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 7 at St. Andrews River Heights Church, 255 Oak Street (at Kingsway).
