GEORGE RIEGER George Rieger died in the early morning of April 30, 2008. He left quietly, after a few precious days of loving goodbyes with family and friends. We will treasure those brief moments forever. He leaves behind his wife of 64 years, Emma, and three children, daughter Joanne Watson (Bill), son Russell Rieger (Andrea) and daughter Susan Schwabl (Norbert), ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. He also is survived by two brothers and two sisters. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Mary Rieger, one brother and one sister. A private family interment will take place on Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. at the Chapel Lawn Cemetery. Following the burial, there will be a public memorial service at 11:00 a.m., the same day May 6, 2008, at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, (entrance on Aubrey St.) with Pastor Bill Watson officiating. A luncheon will be served and as much coffee as you can drink. George would approve of that! George's children would like to thank the home care staff who took care of George for so long. They would also like to thank his neighbors, Albert and Dorothy, and nephew Michael, all of whom did so much to add interest to his life these last few years. Our final thanks is to the amazing staff on the third floor west at the Concordia Hospital.
