BRENDA LEE EIRIKSON (nee Lower) June 21, 1949 - April 29, 2008 It is with sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Brenda, at home on April 29, 2008. She was predeceased by her parents Mary and George Lower, and infant daughter Ingrid. Brenda (Benj) will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Jill (Wayne), son Jesse, their father Jim, granddaughter Shaya, sister Darlene (Bob), numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Brenda's life took her down many roads, from touring Europe, living in Inuvik and Yellowknife to most recently Teulon, where she resided for the last seven years. She loved getting together with friends for coffee and took great pride in her home and gardens. Anyone who knew Benj would agree that if anyone needed help with something, she was always ready to lend a helping hand at any given time. She had a love for all animals, which was evident even in her childhood visits to her uncle's farm during summer holidays. Family was very important to Brenda and she thoroughly enjoyed pampering her granddaughter Shaya. In accordance with Brenda's wishes, cremation has taken place, and there will be no formal service. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family for a celebration of Brenda's life on Sunday, May 4, 2008 at the Crescent Creek Park Recreation Centre in Teulon from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB, R3T 0R3. You can shed tears that she is gone, Or you can smile because she lived. You can close your eyes and pray that she will come back, Or you can open your eyes and see all that she has left. Your heart can be empty because you can't see her, Or you can be full of the love that you shared. You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday, Or you can be happy tomorrow because of yesterday. You can remember her and only that she is gone, Or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.
