NORMAN SCHOLZ Peacefully, with his family by his side, Norman passed away at the age of 82, on Thursday, May 1, 2008 at the Selkirk General Hospital. Norman will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his family, his beloved wife Nettie of 42 years of marriage, son Kurt and daughter Carla with husband Ken, five sisters, Margaret Richardson, May Lafreniere, Cora (Harold) Ott, Rose (Ross) Masnyk, Isabelle Mastowy, sister-in-law Jean Scholz and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Norman was predeceased by his parents Martin Sr. and Mary, sister Helen, brothers Martin Jr. and Gordon. Norman was born May 12, 1925 and grew up in Golden Bay, MB. In 1965, he married Nettie and together they settled in Lockport, MB. He was a certified Carpenter and worked for PCL Construction and Bird Construction companies. He enjoyed the outdoors by gardening and cutting the grass on his JD. He loved it when the kids came over as there was always a good game of Hollie to be played. He loved to reminisce about days gone by and even at the age of 82, he still remembered events-dates as though they were just yesterday. The family would like to thank Dr. Spears, Dr. Ryckman and the nursing staff at the Selkirk General Hospital for their compassion, patience and outstanding care during his stay. Norman's life will be celebrated on Monday, May 5, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Beausejour with Pastor Stan Richards officiating. Interment will follow at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Eric Scholz, Wayne Scholz, Glen Romanishen, Howard Masnyk, David Buss and Glen Lafreniere.
