RUBY PENA Age 74, of Wilmington, DE, passed away Sunday, May 4, 2008 at home with her family, following a long battle with cancer. Ruby was born in MacGregor, Manitoba, Canada. She worked as a registered nurse at Winnipeg General Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba, where she ran a surgical floor and met her husband, Carlos. Prior to her illness, Ruby enjoyed cooking, and her sandwiches were legendary among her son's friends. Ruby also enjoyed playing tennis and hosting social events in her home. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Mary Wong. Ruby is survived by her husband, Carlos, son, Miguel and his wife, Michelle, grandchildren, Jacob (four), and Joshua (one), sister, Lillian Harmon and her husband, Sherman, and numerous nieces and nephews. A service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 10, 2008 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 1314 Foulk Road, Wilmington, DE. Burial will be private.
