Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOSE SAMIA TONGOL April 21, 1915 - May 3, 2008 It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Jose, beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He is predeceased by his parents Eustaquio and Francisca, his siblings, and his children Felissima, Ursolo (Femia), and Francisca (Feling). He is survived by his loving wife Demetria, his children Marcelino (Ising), Rebecca (Conrado), Trini (Richard), Erlina (Rodolfo), Bonifacio (Delia), Agosto (Nimfa), Rosario (Emmanuel), and Joel; his grandchildren Alexander (Pedy), Arnel, Arturo (Amor), Antonino (Kris), Salvacion, Maribeth (Nonie), Arnold, Marites, Michelle (Paul), Brian (Shelley), Czarina (Raymond), Cheryl (Krishna), Ryan (Lyn), Lori Jane, Raymond (Leslie), Jackie (Joel), John Bonni, Charlene (Rex), Jenelle, and Justin; and the many grandchildren in the Philippines, his many great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. He was born in Mexico, Pampanga, Philippines and lived a very long and full life, raising a large family. He and his wife Demetria immigrated to Canada in May 1980 to be with their growing family in Winnipeg. He could bring a smile to anyone's face with his infectious grin and playful humour. From him, we learned to value and cherish family above all else; we learned to laugh at life and at ourselves; and we learned that true love really does exist as we saw it every day with Jose and Demetria. His passing has left an empty space in our hearts, but we will always remember him and we will fill the space with the important things he taught us - live with love and laughter. The family would like to thank the staff at Seven Oaks Hospital for their kindness and care in making our father's final days as comfortable as possible.
