WILFRED CHARLES COOK (March 20, 1928 - May 1, 2008) On behalf of the Cook family, it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, husband and friend at the age of 80. Wilf put up a long brave battle with cancer but lost, with most of his children and his wife by his side. He is survived by his children, Debbie, Didi (Darrell), Rick (Madelaine), Denise (Larry), Donna (John), Barbara (Tony), Sandy (Kevin), grandchildren, Del, Michelle, Chris, Ricci Jean, Shawn, Ben, Steven, Skyler, Raina, Sterling, Maxwel, great-grandchildren, Boston, Jessie, Jackson, Nathan, wife Silke, sister May, sister-in-law Lucille and numerous nephews and nieces and their children. He is predeceased by his brothers, Bill, Abbie, Gordon and sister Marion. Throughout his life, Wilf was well known for his musical and hockey talents. In his retirement years his passion was golf. He was a truly special person and will be dearly missed by many in the communities of Selkirk (Interlake), Winnipeg, Churchill, MB and Fort St. John, BC. On the wings of a snow white dove, he sends his pure sweet love, a sign from above, on the wings of a dove. A celebration of life will be held August 30, 2008.
