JOSEPH PAZDZIERSKI Peacefully, on Monday, May 5, 2008, Joe Pazdzierski passed away at the Teulon Hospital following a short battle with cancer. Joe was predeceased by his parents Frank and Maria, his sister Katie Samborski (Dmetro) his brothers, Walter (Elsie), Marian, and Stanley. He is survived by Mary, his wife of almost 63 years and his children Gerald (Anna), Sandra (Niel), his grandchildren Mona (Bruce), Daryl (Lori) and great-grandchildren Joshua, Emily, Sarah, Nathan, and Kelsey. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law Ann Dola, Dolly Maksymyk, Lois Marlo and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Joe was born on December 15, 1922 in Hamrlik near Poplarfield, MB. He moved at a young age to Foley, MB and then to Teulon with his wife Mary Maksymyk. Joe started work as a porter with Canadian Pacific Railways, travelling across Canada. When he wanted a change he started to work as a carpenter, building many homes in the Teulon area. He then went on to work for the Manitoba Highways Department where he worked until retirement at age 65. All his life dad was a proud gardener, always having the best and largest garden in town. Dad prided himself on being the first to have his garden in and the first to have it harvested. If you couldn't eat it, it wasn't worth planting. Prayers will be held on Friday, May 9 at 7:00 p.m. at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Teulon. Funeral service will he held at the Teulon United Church on Saturday, May 10 at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Pleasant Home Cemetery with lunch at Pleasant Home Hall. Pallbearers will be his son-in-law Niel Bolen, his grandchildren Daryl Pazdzierski, Bruce Simcoe, great-grandchildren Joshua Simcoe, Nathan Grieg, and godchild Ron Rogowsky. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Joe's memory to the Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital Foundation. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Teulon in care of arrangements.
