THOMAS KEVIN HENRY July 23, 1960 May 2, 2008 With great regret and sadness the Henry family must inform you of Tom Henry's sudden passing into the spirit world on May 2, 2008. Tom, age 47, leaves behind wife and lifelong companion Lyn; their children, TJ, Marie (Andy), John, and newborn grandson Ryan. Also mourning Tom's passing are best friend and father Ernie Henry, mother Mary Ryan, sisters Arlene and Terry, several nieces and nephews, and a multitude of relatives and friends. Of the ancestors greeting Tom are his grandfather and namesake Tom Henry; grandmother Philomene; maternal grandparents, Sig and Leila, and many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Since Tom's return to the Roseau River Reserve four years ago, he had endeavored to create an environment that was equally beneficial to all members of Roseau River First Nation. He believed his beginning cattle grazing business would secure an independent future for himself and Lyn, along with providing a much needed meat resource to those in need. He enjoyed the solitude of the country life after 40 years in the big city of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Visits with family and friends over a cup of coffee were moments savored by Tom.
