AUDREY EMILY MILLER (nee STEWART) Peacefully on May 6, 2008 at the Lakeshore General Hospital in Ashern, Audrey Emily Miller aged 73 years of Ashern, MB. Audrey was born on October 31, 1934 in Ashern and was raised and spent most of her life here. She was very active in the community and volunteered at many organizations and events. She enjoyed craft sales, gardening, bingo and traveling on the Casino bus. She enjoyed going to music festivals, fairs and dances with Dave. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Maurice, her parents John and Beatrice Stewart, brother Douglas (Corkie), sisters, Vivian Kirichenko and Beatrice (Babe) Baker, her sister-in-law Lorna Stewart and her brothers-in-law, Walter Kirichenko, Matt Baker and Ken Geisler. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Kathy (Ken) Koch, granddaughter Kelly (David) Eiriksson, great-grandchildren, Riley, Nicolas, grandson Mark Koch; daughter Judy (Bob) Gudmundson, grandchildren, Jason and Trevor; son Bill (Cindy) Miller, grandchildren, Mandy and Kimi-Marie; son Don (Lisa) Miller, grandchildren, Trista, Chelsey, Andrew; son Ron (Raelene) Miller, grandchildren, Dan (Claire), Mitch and Jordan; son Darrell; and her special friend and companion Dave Hornick; her brothers, Jack (Jane), Jim (Liz), Dick (Shirley), Lawrence (Jan), Cliff and her sister June Geisler; along with many nieces and nephews. At Audrey's request cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank Dr. Khaleifa, the staff at the Lakeshore General Hospital, Health Sciences Centre CancerCare Unit in Winnipeg, as well as her homecare workers and ambulance attendants for the wonderful care she received. Also a special thank you to Aunty June for all your help and being the loving sister you are.
