MURRAY JAMES MCDONALD We sadly announce the passing of Murray McDonald on May 9, 2008, after a brief but difficult battle with cancer. Born March 1, 1956, Murray grew up and attended school in Elmwood. His career began as a young boy; he was the third of three brothers to take over the family paper route. As an adult, Murray worked for over 20 years at Burns Meats, and more recently at Winpak Industries. He was always a conscientious and dedicated employee, who easily befriended his fellow workers. He is survived by his brother Gordon (Debbie); sister Joyce (Randy); nephews Jason (Jennifer); Jeremy (Katie) and grand nephew William. He is also survived by his special friend Charlene. He was predeceased by his parents Rose and Alex McDonald and brother Micky. Murray lived a simple life under his own terms; with kindness to others being his greatest asset, and one which he offered freely. Family and friends meant the world to him. His other passions were garage sales and rebuilding bikes. Spring and summer Saturdays were spent going to garage sales, picking up bikes and working tirelessly to repair and rebuild them for their next owner. A kind and caring man; a life cut short; Murray you will be missed so very much. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, May 13, at Immanuel United Church (located on the corner of Golspie at Kimberley) at 2:00 p.m. Should you desire, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
