Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHARLES LLOYD MORTON June 24, 1945 - May 5, 2008 With sadness, the family of Charles (Chuck) Lloyd Morton announce his sudden and unexpected passing on May 5, 2008 at the age of 62 years. Chuck is survived by his loving wife Jane, daughters, Suzanne (Amilcar) and Kim (Gord), stepchildren, Christie (Ron) and James, and grandchildren, Ryan, Anna, Cory and Kryslyn. He is also lovingly remembered by Suzanne and Kim's mother Glenna, as well as by many treasured cousins, friends and relatives. Chuck was predeceased by his parents Richard (1964) and Winifred (1988) Morton of Portage la Prairie, Manitoba. He was born and raised in Portage and moved to Winnipeg in 1962 where he attended Red River Community College and was in the first graduating class of electrical engineering. In 1964, he began work at the Manitoba Telephone System where he spent his entire career until retirement in 1998. After his retirement, Chuck was able to spend time on many hobbies and interests and he always had a project on the go . Ham radio, electronics, computers, gardening, tinkering about the house, mingling with neighbours and spending time with the dog are things he loved to do. Family meant everything to Chuck, and he considered himself a lucky man for having met and married Jane. Together, they traveled across Canada and the United States, with special visits to Florida, Mexico, South America and good old St. Ambroise Beach in Manitoba. Our Dad was a well respected and dearly loved husband, father, stepfather, grandpa, cousin, nephew, son, colleague, friend and neighbour who will be tremendously missed. Family and friends are invited to a memorial service on Monday, May 12 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bartholomew's Anglican Church, 881 Autumnwood Drive, Winnipeg, Manitoba. Interment will take place on Tuesday, May 13 at 11:00 a.m. in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba at St. Mary's Anglican Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or to the Winnipeg Humane Society. I love you and miss you BBW. Love, LRRH VE4 CLM signing off.
