GWENDOLINE ANNE CRUICKSHANK (nee STRAWN) Peacefully, on May 7, 2008 at Concordia Hospital, Gwen went to join her husband Vincent. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Gwen came over from England in 1944 as a War Bride and made her home here. She loved children so much that she adopted children, had her own children and took in foster children. Gwen's whole life was her family and her favourite pastime was spending time with her babies . She will be desperately missed by her daughters and their families, her grandchildren and their families, her great-grandchildren- her babies, along with family and friends in England and in Canada. We would like to thank all the nurses and medical staff in the ICU and on the 3rd Floor at Concordia Hospital for the amazing care given. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 13 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gwen's honour to the Winnipeg Humane Society.
