ERNEST GODFREY Peacefully, after a brief illness, Ernest passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 89 on May 7, 2008. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 65 years Kathleen Kathy ; children Yvonne (Harry) Miller, and Pauline (Ernie) Kulbaba; grandchildren, Terri (Troy) Butz, Linda Lobson (Bob), Lori (Rob) St. Onge and Craig Kulbaba; great-grandchildren, Keyra, Gavin, Jordan and Devin; sister Joey (Joe) Lechman; in-laws Maurice Schneider, Irene Godfrey and Mavis Broadbent. He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends, including Cam Lobson and Darci Thorpe. He was predeceased by his parents, in-laws, brother Walter, sister Doreen and brother-in-law Ron. Ernest was a member of the Royal Winnipeg Rifles Little Black Devils Regiment during the Second World War, later becoming a Royal Winnipeg Rifles Association Member. He also was a member of the Weston and Brooklands Legion Branch #2. He worked for Eaton's Mail Order. He enjoyed spending time at the cottage at Engineer Lake with his family and dogs, Sammi, Sheeba, Reese and Juice. The family would like to thank the St. Boniface A7 South staff, Seven Oaks Dialysis and St. Boniface Dialysis units for the care they provided. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ernest's memory to the Kidney Foundation or charity of your choice. At his request, cremation has taken place. A private family service will take place at a later date. CHAPEL LAWN 885-9715
