ARLEINE GMITEREK (nee TILL) June 7, 1939 - May 8, 2008 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Delores Arleine Gmiterek at the Pinawa Hospital on Thursday, May 8, 2008. She was born and raised in Minnetonis, Manitoba. She lived her adult life in Winnipeg and Oakbank before retiring in Pinawa with her husband John. Arleine worked as a bookkeeper and stenographer but also paid special attention to camping holidays with her family both when her children were younger and in her retirement years. She is survived by her husband John, her loving companion of 49 years; daughter Dawn (Randy); son Michael (Kelli) and grandchildren Logan and Veronica. She was predeceased by her parents Brent and Alice Till. Our family wishes to thank Dr. Petkau and the Nursing Staff of the Pinawa Hospital for the care, understanding and support over these difficult past few months. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of her Life will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from Russell Funeral Home, Beausejour, Manitoba with Rev. Helen and Rev. Frazer Hunter officiating. If friends so desire, memorial donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the MS Society of Canada.
