ELISABETH (BETTY) BIEBER In loving memory of Betty Bieber who passed away May 8, 2008 after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Immigrating from the Netherlands and settling in Winnipeg in 1954, Mom worked outside the home and raised her three daughters with love and pride. For many years, the girls Saturday shopping expeditions were filled with laughter and joy, sharing a closeness only mother and daughters could share. After losing daughter Rosie in 1975, Mom met and married her soul mate Harold Bieber. For the next 15 happy years, Harold and Mom raced and trained horses together with Mom even getting her trainers license. Summers in Winnipeg and winters in Phoenix was a life Mom relished in. Working hard was Mom's mainstay in life. Even in retirement, she was not content to sit idle, as her many friends know. Always willing to lend a helping hand, Mom's motto was I'm just a phone call away She leaves to cherish her memory her sister, Janny Mol, her many friends; devoted daughter Betty Dolinski; son-in-law Jim and her companion of 7 years, Tony Teunis. To honor her life, a reception will take place at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 13, at Gable Arms Apartment, 1590 Henderson Hwy. Always remembered with love and forever in our hearts.
