Lucia was born and raised on a farm in Middlelake, Saskatchewan, moving to Winnipeg in the early 50s where she met Hank. Lucia and Hank were married July 4, 1953, enjoying the freedoms of married life. In 1973 they were blessed with the unexpected arrival of their loving son Jason. Lucia took much pride in being a wife and mother, working hard to provide a loving home for her family. The last nine years had been quite rewarding and fulfilling for her as an Oma to her three grandchildren. Her friends were always important to her, always close by, enjoying coffee, meals and each other's company. This year since Hank's passing had been very difficult for Lucia, her housemate Agnes provided the much needed companionship and support. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church (corner of Walnut and Wolseley). Officiated by Pastor Brian Brglaz.
