LARWELL BUD MURPHY Peacefully, following a brief illness, it is with sadness that we announce the passing of Bud on Tuesday May 6, 2008 at the Concordia Hospital with his family at his side. Aged 81 years. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Gail (Len), Theresa, Roland (Mary), Clifford (Sheila), Geraldine (Steve) and Shawn (Colleen); 17 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brother Calvin; sisters, Arzella and Marcie and numerous nieces and nephews. Bud is predeceased by his wife Jessie; father Clifford; mother Lena and sisters Blanch and Maxine. A special thank you to Dr. Caners and the staff at the Concordia Hospital for their care and compassion. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Logan officiating. Interment to follow in Green Acres Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tyler, Darryl, Shaun, Randy, Brent and Orville. Dad worked at CPR Rail for 34 years. After his retirement he and mom took a few trips to Vegas with their motor home. Dad was a member of the #9 Legion were he enjoyed to carpet bowl and afternoon bingo until he could no longer drive. The last few years he enjoyed when his kids and grandkids came over so he could tell his famous stories. He always said my door is always open kids . We'll miss you dad!
