TAMMIE LYNN MCQUOID October 12, 1958 May 10, 2008 Tammie completed her life's journey on Saturday, May 10, 2008 at Riverview Health Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba, following a brief illness at the age of 49 years. Tammie will be sadly missed by her parents, Gerald and Silvana McQuoid of Snow Lake, MB brother Terry (Diane) McQuoid of Iroquois Falls, ON, sisters Sonya McQuoid of Esterhazy, SK, Shelley (Dan) Evans of Churchill, MB and Monica McQuoid of Winnipeg, MB, her nieces Jennifer McQuoid of Red Deer, AB and Amy McQuoid of Winnipeg, MB and nephew Liam Evans of Churchill, MB. She was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, James and Lila McQuoid and her maternal grandparents Wallace and Sarah Rose; Uncles Phil Myre, Bud Anderson and David McQuoid and cousins Marty and David McQuoid, Tammie began her journey in North Bay, Ontario on October 12, 1958 and spent her life seeking adventure. She became a teacher and loved imparting her knowledge and wisdom to her children. She loved making a difference in their lives and in the lives of their families. Tammie found much joy in photographing the many places she lived, especially Matheson Island, MB. She also loved taking early morning walks with her precious dog JoJo. The family would like to express their gratitude to all those who cared for Tammie, the doctors and nursing staff from 3E at Riverview Health Centre, Enterostomal Therapy staff at the Health Sciences Centre, Dr. Turner, Dr. Czaykowski, CancerCare Manitoba Staff, Palliative Care Staff, and the Home Care Personnel for the care and compassion given to Tammie. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, May 15, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway St., Winnipeg, MB. Officiating will be Pastors Ken and Carolee Neufeld. Viewing will be held at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel. Interment to follow at a later date on Matheson Island, MB For those who wish, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba in memory of Tammie.
