GEORGE ROHLOFF February 14, 1932 - May 9, 2008 We are sad to announce the sudden passing of our Dad. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Kay in 1989. Mom and Dad knew each other from childhood and married at ages 19 and 20. Most of their married life was spent residing in Transcona where Dad worked for Griffin Steel and also had side jobs as a painter and brick layer. Dad was always known for his kind heart. He suffered a debilitating stroke in April 2004. He then became a patient at River East Personal Care Home where he enjoyed watching movies and Friday Happy Hour. We are so very grateful to the staff for the loving care Dad received; you helped to make his time there comfortable and enjoyable. Also, thank you to Dr. Ripstein, Nurse Amy and the wonderful staff at St. Boniface Emergency Department, who helped ease Dad's pain and to be there for us in his final hours. George leaves to mourn his beloved children, Debbie (Randy), Kerry (Lorie), Kim (Dale); grandchildren, Randene (Phil), Sean (Colleen), Cheri, Ryan (Mellisa); great-grandchildren, Ryley, Avery, Gina, Mia and Dad's siblings, Ernie and Doreen (Henry). It was our Dad's wish to be layed to rest with his beloved wife Kay in a private service at Transcona Cemetery. So to his loved family, extended family members and many old friends, George says, God Bless and Auf Wiedersehen!
