ROBERTA AITKEN November 27, 1919 May 11, 2008 It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our mother, Roberta Aitken on May 11, 2008 at the Lakeshore General Hospital in Ashern, MB. She lived in the Ashern Personal Care Home. Roberta was born on November 27, 1919. In 1937, she married Charles Aitken and they lived in Winnipeg for a while before moving back to the farm in Moosehorn. Mom never got tired of helping others and enjoyed company. Roberta leaves to mourn her two daughters, Margret and Beverley of Moosehorn; her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; one sister, Esther of Winnipeg; and her brother Bill of Red Deer, Alberta. Roberta was predeceased by her husband Charles in 1985; son Chuck in 1997; daughters, Edith in 2003 and Marion in 1978; sons-in-law, Pete in 2006 and Frank in 2007. Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 16, 2008 at 11:00 a.m., with viewing beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the Moosehorn Community Hall with Rev. Bernd Rist officiating. Interment will follow at Brookside Cemetery. Thanks to Dr. Ramaden, Dr. Roots, nurses and staff at the hospital you were excellent. Also to everyone at the Personal Care Home, she was happy there.
