Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANGUS MCEWAN September 30, 1928 May 11, 2008 It is with saddened hearts we announce the peaceful passing of our dad, grandpa, brother, uncle and friend Angus McEwan. Born to Joseph and Lydia McEwan (nee Rentz) in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Like many young men growing up in the 1930s, he entered the work force at the age of 14 with the railway. This was the start of a 64 year career in the transportation industry ending in his retirement as a volunteer driver for Winnipeg Harvest. Angus loved spending time with his family. He was a proud and passionate spectator of all his five grandchildren's various sporting and musical events. Angus's kind nature was evident in his love of animals and the smiles of the numerous children he entertained as L.O. Wishes the Clown. Angus is survived by his daughters, Karen (Zyg) Iskierski, Teresa (Blake) Morden, grandchildren, Dan (Sophie Bouchard), Tim (Shannon Barbour), Janina, Katrina and Blake, sisters, Thelma Shaw and Verna Winslade, former wife Verla McEwan, stepsons, Wade and Jeff Holmes and many nieces and nephews. We would like to thank the staff at 3E Riverview for their compassionate care of Dad and our family. Also to Dr.'s Blank, Raabe and Rabson for giving us the wonderful gift of three bonus years with our Dad. A memorial service will be held to celebrate Angus's life on Friday, May 16, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway. Interment at Brookside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation or bring a tin for the bin for Winnipeg Harvest. For the many lives he has touched Say not in grief he is no more' but live in thankfulness that he was THOMSON FUNERAL HOME 669 BROADWAY, WINNIPEG, MB R3C 0X4 783-7211 Send expressions of sympathy at www.mem.com
