Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDEBORAH MARLENE KUMMERFIELD (nee HAUS) Deborah Marlene Kummerfield (nee Haus) passed away suddenly on Sunday, May 11, 2008 at the age of 56 years. Debbie was born in Brooks, Alberta before the family moved to Winnipeg in 1959 where she attended General Byng School and Vincent Massey Collegiate. Debbie worked at The Hudson Bay Company during her high school years and after graduation. She then spent 23 years working with Air Canada in Winnipeg. For the past 10 years Debbie has been a dedicated volunteer with Winnipeg Harvest. In her spare time Debbie enjoyed knitting, sewing and word puzzles. Besides her loving husband Roger Mariash, Debbie is survived by her mother Lil Haus; sisters, Linda Sluis (Henk), Brenda Lenz (Lambert) and brother, Gregory Haus, as well as nephews Bradley and Nathan Lenz and numerous aunts and cousins. Memorial service will be held at Westminster United Church (in the chapel), 745 Westminster Avenue, Thursday, May 15, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Joan Jarvis officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7.
