RITA VIOLET CROZIER April 25, 1922 May 12, 2008 It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother at St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 86 years. Rita was predeceased by her loving husband of 48 years Johnny, eldest son John, mother Lillian and sister Vera. Left to mourn her loss is Rita's three daughters, Maureen and Bruce Smith, Heather and Brian Anderson, Kathy and Wes Davidson, and one son, Rob and Erin Crozier. She was also blessed with seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild, Justin, Leanne, Amanda (Sydney), Melanie, Sarah, Emily and Samantha. Rita was born in Manitou, Manitoba where she lived until moving to Winnipeg with her mother. After several years she began working at Merchants Consolidated where she developed close friendships that she carried with her until her last day. She continued to work until after the Second World War when she met and married the love of her life and left her career to raise her family. Growing up the family enjoyed many fun filled summers at Grand Beach with friends and family, playing and laughing together. There is no more special gift a mother can bring her family than a lifetime of love and wonderful memories. Rita filled everyone's life with joy through her kind and gentle nature and by putting the needs of others before her own. A special thank you to the staff at St. Boniface Hospital (Internal Medicine) who provided special care and compassion for our Mom in her last days. Funeral service will be held at Thomson In the Park , 1291 McGillivray Blvd. on Thursday, May 15 at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow at St. Vital Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to the charity of your choice. You will be in our hearts forever. We will miss you Mom.
