LAURA (LEE) REID (nee BEAUBIEN) September 23, 1924 May 12, 2008 It is with great sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing of our Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, and Auntie. Mom was predeceased by her husband William (Bill) Shirra Reid in 1999 and her only sister Amy Pruden. Mom was born in St. Jean Baptiste, MB September 23, 1924 where her parents August and Annie Beaubien worked the family farm. She will be so sadly missed by her daughters Sharyn Bednarczyk, Judi Reid (Lisa), Nancy Reid (Lee), her cherished grandchildren, Jason Schwabe (Collette), Tara Schwabe (Mike), Joseph and Adam Bednarczyk (George). Mom was blessed with four great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Calen, Cadyn, Sydney, and William. Also cherishing her memory are Jo-anne (Laurie), Patti (George), Michelle (Patrick), Mark (Joedi) and their families. Mom had many nieces, nephews and friends who kept her close to their hearts. She is also survived by sister-in-law Cecilia Rogers. She enjoyed many years working as a receptionist for Dr. DePape and for Homecare. Mom's greatest joy in life was being with and taking care of her family. Mom loved hosting gatherings of family and friends on Lawndale, where all were welcomed. Everyone who met her experienced her heart of gold, unconditional acceptance, and love. We love you Mom, you will always be in our hearts. Love Your Girls Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 17, 2008 11:00 a.m. at St. Bernadette Parish, 820 Cottonwood Road.
