Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM (BILL) FRIEL MCINTYRE August 25, 1934 - May 10, 2008 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, brother, uncle and friend, Bill McIntyre, age 73 of Winnipeg. Born in Fort William, ON in 1934, Bill was a longstanding resident of Winnipeg's North End, having also lived in Gladstone, Toronto, and briefly, Abbotsford, BC. Bill was predeceased by his parents William and Margaret, brothers Archie and John, and nephew Robert Lehman. He is survived by his adoring wife Elizabeth, sister Margaret (Chuck), friend Linda Simpson, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends throughout Canada. Bill also cherished his friendship with many members of Manitoba's Hutterite community. Bill was a veteran Salesperson who also exhibited tremendous, compassion and wisdom as a counsellor and community liaison officer with the Salvation Army Harbour Light Corps. During retirement, Bill found joy in his work as a volunteer at Siloam Mission. As always, he loved to joke with the girls and found the work rewarding. Faith invigorated Bill, enriched his affections, and awakened a sense of creativeness in others. We will cherish his memory always. The family would like to extend sincere thanks to Drs. J. Rabson, R. Guzman, J. Pawlak, S. Broderick and Wendy Sersun of Homecare for their professionalism and kindness throughout Bill's later life. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at the Salvation Army Heritage Park Temple, 825 School Road, Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Siloam Mission, or the charity of one's choice. CHAPEL LAWN 885-9715
