Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOSEPH MICHALOW Dad died peacefully in his sleep at Misericordia Place on Monday, May 12, 2008. He is predeceased by his first wife Thelma in 1942, second wife Mary in 2002, his parents Joseph and Anna Michalow, and sisters Kaska, Katie, Mary, Nellie and Rose. He is survived by his children Pat (Bob) and Wayne; grandsons Randy (Diana); Dan (Shannon) and great-grandchildren Cody, Shelbie, Melissa, Nicole Schwab and nephew Walter (Marion) Dutka. Dad was born November 1, 1919 in East Selkirk, MB. Dad and Mom were married on June 2, 1944 in Winnipeg. Dad served in the Second World War in the Royal Canadian Engineers, 3rd Field Regiment from 1941 to 1945 taking him from England to France to Belgium. After the war, Dad worked as a painter for many years, well known for his quality workmanship, retiring in 1976. The family wishes to thank the staff of Cornish 5 at the Misericordia Health Centre and Misericordia Place for their care and compassion during Dad's illness. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 17, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Avenue. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
