GWENETH MAUD CARPENTER Gwen passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 13, 2008. Gwen was predeceased by her beloved husband Reg in 2001 whom she greatly loved and missed. She is survived by her loving family: daughter Elizabeth Piotrowski (Rick), sons Paul (Rae) and Antony, grandchildren Sarah-Jane, Adam, Keith, Bryan and Katrina. Gwen was born April 1, 1920 in the county of Stafford, England. Gwen and Reg were married in 1942 in Solihulle, England. As a war bride she came to Winnipeg in 1947 and eventually settled in Charleswood in 1958. Gwen worked part-time at the Charleswood Library for many years. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, crafts, needlework and reading. Her china collections were a source of pride. The focus of Mom's life was her family who will miss her dearly. Donations in Gwen's memory may be made to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3A 1P6. A private family service will be held. CHAPEL LAWN 885-9715
