ROSALINA HAINES (CHICO) Asinikwe Stone Woman July 25, 1945 - May 13, 2008 Peacefully with her family by her side, at the age of 62, she entered into the spirit world on May 13, 2008. Rosalina was born in Sandy Bay on July 25, 1945. She grew up in Sandy Bay and later attended residential school. She was a very community oriented person and was a selfless person, always caring for others instead of herself, up until the time of her passing. She enjoyed helping people and all the children in the community, all sports, baseball, square dancing competitions, pageants, coaching, track and field, helping at community wakes and collecting community wedding pictures. She loved her community and volunteered with many activities. She also loved her family, in its entirety. She loved each of her family members and extended families and tried to help whenever she could. It was important for her to carry on tradition to her children and grandchildren, to become impeccable homemakers. She took pride in her surroundings in perfect condition. Her most favourite things to do were travelling and enjoying meeting new people. She also loved shopping, visiting and singing at the local gospel groups and gatherings. Her utmost favourite color was yellow. She was predeceased by her parents Moise and Flora McIvor; brothers, Charles McIvor, Abraham McIvor, Fred McIvor, Aylmer McIvor, Howard McIvor; sister Hilda Starr; sister-in-law Myrna Mousseau; son Kelvin Mousseau; nephews Walter (Moose) Longclaws, Wayne McIvor; niece Lyndeen Starr; grandchild Sasha Haines; great-grandchildren Kiera Haines and Rosalina Haines. She is survived by her siblings, Harriet McIvor, Andrew McIvor, Oscar McIvor, Denis McIvor, Olga McIvor, Judy Doolittle (Wayne) and Mary Beaulieu; children, Michael Haines (Shirley), Kevin Haines (Sonja), Karen Martin (Peter), Kenneth Champion (Carollee); grand-children, Michael Jr. Haines, Seth Haines, Nicholas Haines, Darian Haines, Vivian Haines, Mark Haines, Kevin Jr. Haines, Shantja Haines, Valeen Haines, Paige Martin, Myles Martin; great-grandchildren, Raquel Haines, Michael Jr. 3rd Haines, Rapheal Haines, Pharrel Haines, Kadence Haines, Kylie Haines and her numerous extended relatives, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Wake services will be starting Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at the Sandy Bay Community Complex at 5:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Complex with interment to follow at Hillside Cemetery, Portage la Prairie with Father Comeau officiating. To the many friends and family, a heartfelt Thank You for your support, time and donations to Rosalina and her family. Special thanks to Olga McIvor, Jeanette Houle, Angela West, Georgina (Seven Regions Hospital), Judy Doolittle, Harriet McIvor, Sandy Bay School - IBMS and Sandy Bay P.W.
