J. DAVID BILSLAND May 22, 1937 - March 15, 2008 A celebration of David's life will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. at his and Linda's (Siatecki) residence (Vidines), 107013 PTH #9 on Willow Creek - five km. south of Gimli, MB. I am standing on the seashore. A ship spreads her sails to the morning breeze And starts for the ocean. I stand watching him until he fades On the horizon, and someone at my side says, He is gone! Gone where? The loss of sight is in me, not in him Just at that moment when someone says, He is gone! There are others watching him coming, Other voices take up the glad shout, Here he comes! And that is dying. Although David has left us here, He is now with loved ones that passed on before him. We will all miss him dearly, But know he is watching over us until we meet again.
