Henry passed away at his beloved ranch near Mulvihill, MB on May 4, 2008 at the age of 82. He leaves to cherish his memory his children Christena, Sherolyn (Paul), Kathryn, Richard (Dorothy), Janice (Ken), also numerous grandchildren, relatives and friends. Our family is most appreciative of the patience, care and kindness shown by the dedicated healthcare professionals at Lakeshore General Hospital in Ashern. Many thanks as well to all of those caring practitioners from homecare for their thoughtfulness and to the gracious folks at Veterans Affairs. To the many friends from the community who made time to drop by for a visit, often bearing gifts, THANK YOU. You will always be welcome in our homes. All who knew him well might expect Richard himself to have said, with that wry smile and laugh at the ready well then, I guess the man upstairs was taking an old sailor today after all . He will be in our thoughts always. A graveside service was held on May 10, 2008 at the Eriksdale cemetery. If you so wish, donations in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10-120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 4G2. Arrangements by: ARNASON FUNERAL HOMES LTD.
