Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNORA OXBY (nee HALL) April 8, 1923 - May 12, 2008 Peacefully on May 12, 2008 Nora Oxby passed away at the age of 86. Nora is survived by her twin sister, Jean Bowles (Frank) and family, of Australia. Nora was predeceased by her husband, Pilot Officer George Sidebottom, July 29, 1944 and the late Ron Oxby, in 1967, and her much loved nephew Frank. Nora spent most of her working life as a teacher (37 years) at Mulvey School, and Churchill High. Nora enjoyed fishing at her cottage at Barrier Bay, Bridge, and her many years she spent in Florida. Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nora's memory to The Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg Manitoba, R3L 0K6.
