HELEN HOLAGROCKI (nee ZDRILL) On May 9, 2008 at the Fred Douglas Lodge at the age of 97 and a half years wife of the late Fred Holagrocki passed away. Helen was born August 28, 1910 in Brokenhead, Manitoba. She grew up in Allegra and married Fred in 1937, they farmed in Allegra until 1964 and then retired to Beausejour. In 1982 she moved to Winnipeg to be closer to her family. Auntie Helen enjoyed visits from family, gardening and picking blueberries. She is survived by her sisters Jessie Stupak, Marge Romaniuk (Peter), sister-in-law Elsie Zdrill as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Helen was predeceased by her husband Fred, parents Andrew and Teenie Zdrill, brothers Anton, Paul, Charles, sisters Mary Rogoski and Anne Stupak. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, May 14, at 2:00 p.m. from Russell Funeral Home, Beausejour, Manitoba with Fr. Mark Drozniak officiating. Interment in the Greek Orthodox Cemetery.
