Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • Remembering the special times we shared. The beautiful poem you wrote and little gold ring you gave me, will always have a home in my jewellry box. You my dear friend will always have a home in my heart. 💕 - Posted by: Patricia S (Friend) on: Feb 27, 2018

  • We used to have a saying--he's good people'. Richard was a friend to my brother and myself and then Richard kind of migrated to the downtown area and we lost touch. But as long as we knew him he was 'good people', no better friend to those who knew him well. The other tributes speak of a man who came through some troubling years to emerge with his decency and other good qualities intact. God never leaves us and my prayer is that our Heavenly Father has Richard waiting to reunite with the people he loved and who loved him. He knew me as Rory. - Posted by: Gordon Nicolson (school buddy from Fort Rouge, Winnipeg) on: Sep 19, 2016

  • I remember birthday gifts from an uncle who never stopped treating those he loved with honesty and respect. Uncle Richard was a very talented thinker and often expressed this in his writing. He honed his people skills in the hip areas of Winnipeg in the 60's and 70's. This swagger carried him through some tough years that surprisingly made him tougher. Rest in peace uncle you are missed and remember very well-thanks for all the advice that you knew I would need in my life. - Posted by: Clint Kody Deitrich Brown (Nephew) on: Mar 09, 2012

  • May you rest in peace Rick. I will remember the love and the amazing ability for poetry and as an artist. I have some of those things still. I remember all the photos of you and I, your family and of course Rene G. You are in heaven now and dancing with the angels. May the memories sustain us all in this very sad time. You will be remembered. Life was not always easy for you but you got up and kept going. You will always be missed.
