Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryAUDREY DUCHARME Audrey passed into the arms of the Lord on April 25, 2008 in the company of her family after a courageous fight against Alzheimer's disease. She was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on July 15, 1924, the youngest of nine children. She is survived by her husband, Lou, whom she married 62 years ago; son Greg; daughter Wendy (John) and granddaughter Ashley. Also survived by brother John D. (Jack) Walker in Winnipeg; sister Helen Carter of West St. Paul, Manitoba and numerous nephews and nieces. Audrey was a receptionist at the Lake City Elks swimming pool for 10 years. While there she earned commendations by using her back stroke to cover many miles of lap swimming. She was a competitor and loved to win, whether playing horse shoes, shuffle board, etc. She won many trophies and honors with her bowling. Audrey was a member of Wedgwood Presbyterian Church for over 50 years and loved the children so she volunteered to work in the nursery for many years. A memorial followed by a reception will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 17 at the Wedgwood Presbyterian Church, 8008 35th Avenue N.E., Seattle, WA 98115. Memorials may be directed to the charity of your choosing.
