Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLAWRENCE (LARRY) KENNETH JUNIPER March 10, 1930 May 16, 2008 It is with great sadness the family of Lawrence (Larry) Kenneth Juniper announces his sudden and unexpected passing at his home on May 16, 2008. Larry was born on March 10, 1930, in Seven Sisters, MB. He met Patricia (Pat) Chambers at a dance in Mulvihill, MB where Pat was teaching school. They were married on June 4, 1955 and together raised their five sons on the family farm. Larry spent 15 years working for CNR while also running the family farm. In 1974 Larry and Pat bought the Eriksdale Hotel which they ran together for four years. After selling the hotel in 1978 and building their retirement home , Larry decided he didn't care much for retirement and bought more cattle and started farming again. Larry drove school bus for Lakeshore School District for 25 years. Larry's passions were his dogs, hockey, gardening and golf. Larry took up golfing in 2000 and could often be seen at the Lundar Golf Course playing a round with Eddy Chrisp. Left to mourn Larry is his beloved wife Pat of 53 years; sons Ron, Ken (Paddy), Roger (Bobbi-Jo), Lawrence (Val), Gord (Sheri); sister Violet Sanford; 17 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren along with numerouos nieces and nephews, and his dog Sparky. Larry was predeceased by an infant son Scott, father Stanley, mother Martha, sisters Winnifred, Dorothy, Isabelle and brothers Stan, Donald and Victor. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on May 23, 2008, at the Eriksdale Recreational Centre in Eriksdale, MB with Pastor Trudy Thorarinson officiating. Interment to follow in the Mulvihill Cemetery. Larry will be missed by all who knew him. The family would like to thank the Ashern Ambulance Service, the RCMP and the staff of the E. M. Crowe Memorial Hospital for their response and also to the Arnason Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, The Heart and Stroke Building, 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6 or to a charity of one's choice.
