WESLEY PETER KORNIK Wesley Peter Kornik, died suddenly May 17, 2008 at his residence in Vancouver, BC. He will be greatly missed by his wife Linda, son Aron, daughter Elizabeth, parents Leslie and Sonja Kornik, brother Wade (Zamzam) Kornik (Jutien, Michelle), sister Christine (Neil) Johnson (Tanis, Kevin) and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Wesley was born in Winnipeg January 17, 1960 and spent his first years in Manitoba before the family moved to Ottawa. He returned to Riverton to complete his last years of high school and stayed with his grandparents, Stefan and Agnes Thorarinson. He worked at several jobs in Ontario and British Columbia and met his wife Linda in Vancouver where they were married and made their home together. Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 23, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Riverton-Hnausa Lutheran Church, Riverton, MB. with Pastor Trudy Thorarinson officiating. A viewing will be held one half hour to service. Interment to follow in the Riverton Community Cemetery. Gilbart Funeral Homes, Selkirk and Gimli in care of arrangements.
