Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJORGE ISON SANTIAGO August 26, 1940 - May 20, 2008 No Other Love It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of Jorge Ison Santiago, peacefully at home, at the age of 67, after a courageous battle with cancer. Jorge is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 48 years, Lucy Santiago; his six children, Arlene Jimeno (husband Andy), Josephine Dayao (husband Joel), Emilin Garcia (husband Benjie), George Santiago, Lilibeth Camara (husband Mark), and Jon-Jon Santiago (wife Dina); and his two sisters, Grace Polintan and Editha Dayrit. He was predeceased by his father Federico Santiago and his mother Teofila Ison. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Annalyn, Ralph, Ajay, Jeidilyn, Jayrald, Gilyn, Rowult, Andrea, Brian, Faith, and Jalen; and his numerous nephews, nieces, brother-in-law, cousins and friends. Jorge worked in Vietnam as an office clerk for the US Army. After the Vietnam War, he then worked for the World Health Organization in the Philippines. With careful consideration, he then decided to work in Saudi Arabia as a construction worker for Fuller Sawyer. He was immediately promoted to the engineering department as a drafts man. Because of his great talent working with people, he was sought after by another company (Saudi Engineering Group) as a first rate administrative officer. Wanting to provide more for the family, (as his motto is family comes first ) he devoted the rest of his working years as a CNC machine operator for Monarch Industries Ltd in Canada. The family would like to give our thanks to a great husband, father, uncle, grand dad, brother and friend, Jorge, for the support he provided, happiness, kindness, and laughter he brought to the many lives he touched. We also like to thank the staff at CancerCare Manitoba (Dr. Leylek, Dr. Maksymiuk, Deb Scott), the staff at Seven Oaks Hospital, his family physician (Dr. Patel), the Palliative Care Program, and the many people that prayed for his well being. We are sincerely thankful for all the help. Please join us to celebrate a life lived to the fullest.
