RUBY MELROSE ROSSER (nee RUNDLE) May 9, 1935 - May 20, 2008 It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our cherished mother and grandmother, Ruby Rosser on May 20, 2008, in Arborg, Manitoba. Ruby was predeceased by her parents, Felix and Mary; her son, Douglas; granddaughter, Candace Gail and her great-grandsons, Kyle and Fredrick. Ruby was born on May 9, 1935 in Fisher River, Manitoba and resided there until she went to school in Birtle. She settled in Riverton in 1973. Ruby was a cook and she liked making crafts, camping, playing bingo, and she enjoyed Sunday dinners with her family. Family and friends were of the utmost importance to her. Mom will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Fred (Wendy) of Hay River, NWT, Kelly (Debbie) of Dauphin, and Michael (Tamara) of Clandeboye; daughters, Phyllis (Jim) of Clandeboye, Bev (Ernie) of Riverton, Sharon of Riverton, Corinne (Lorne) of Riverton, Sandra (Trent) of Esterhazy, SK, and Donna (Duane) of Riverton; her grandchildren, Jason, Vanessa, Tracey, Fred, Brandi, Neil, Holly, Christopher, Breana, James, Shawn, April, Amanda, Cheyenne, Fawn, Shane, Travis, Brendan, Trevor, Vaughn, Donald, Terrance, Danielle, Evan, Walker, Justin, Damon and Devin; her brother, Harvey Hodgins of Riverton; as well as her great-grandchildren, who loved Small Ruby , and her extended family and friends. The family wishes to express a special thank you to the ladies at the Riverton Icelandic Lodge for looking after mom while she stayed there. Also thank you to the Arborg Personal Care Home and Hospital Staff and to Dr. Beukes for caring for our mom and for making mom's life as special as it was. A wake service will be held on Friday, May 23, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. Services will take place at the Steven's Memorial United Church, Fisher River, Manitoba with Rev. John Halcrow officiating. Cremation will follow the service with interment to follow at a later date. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 25, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at the Riverton Fellowship Circle, with Trudy Thorarinson officiating.
