Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALLAN HERMAN NIEMAR It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved dad and brother Al on Monday, May 19, 2008 at his residence. Al is survived by his two daughters, Christine and Tara (Jeff Lewis), two sisters Ellie (Cal) Paul and Hedy (Keith) Witzky, along with nephews and nieces, Jason (Laura), Jennell (Jason) Derek, Shanna, Alison and Carolyn. Al was predeceased by his parents, Charlie and Hedy and his brother Len. Al was born August 26, 1952 in Elmwood, and attended Elmwood High. Growing up, the inner sanctum was hopping with Al and his many friends. Al loved sports, and made many lasting friendships through his involvement in lacrosse, curling and golf. He moved to Belair, where he worked at Grand Pines, but was happiest in his element at #3. Al's door was always open for friends to drop in, and there will be many memories of parties with Big Al at #3. Al loved rock and roll, and what he lacked in his ability to sing and play the harmonica, he made up for in his passion for music. Life was not always easy but Al never complained and lived life to the fullest on Lake Time. He lived life his way. His two greatest passions besides his daughters were hunting and fishing. This May long was spent planning and getting ready for a Fly in Fishing trip. His many Lake, hunting and fishing buddies will miss him, especially his apprentice Derek. We'll all be listening for your moose call. Service will be held on Friday, May 23, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ducks Unlimited, P.O. Box 1160, Stonewall, MB R0C 2Z0 or the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Suite 200-6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
