MARGARET AILEEN REYNOLDS (nee GILL) Suddenly, but peacefully on May 19, 2008, our beloved Mom, Nana and Great-Grandma passed away at her residence. Aileen is survived by her sister Patricia Greenfield, sister-in-law Betty Gill, son Phil (Val), daughters Anne Guest (Hal) and Vicki. She will also be lovingly missed by grand-children, Jennifer (Jason), Robert (Laurel), Elizabeth, Patrick, Anna May, Ben, Scott (Christine), Neil (Kari), Jessica, Dylan, as well as her great-grandchildren, Dawson, Hunter, Calla and Juniper. She was predeceased by her husband Herb, parents Clifford and Margaret Gill, brothers Clifford and Alan, and son-in-law Wayne Wood. Mom was born on April 24, 1923 in Dauphin, MB, first child of Clifford and Margaret Gill. She moved to Winnipeg in 1930 and attended school in the Riverview/Lord Roberts area. She graduated from Kelvin High School, and up to the time of her passing, was a proud and active participant of the Diamond Girls , Kelvin's all female graduating class of 1939. Mom joined the R.C.A.F (Women's Division) in 1943, and was stationed at Pat Bay and Alliford Bay on the Queen Charlotte Islands, where she served as assistant to operations for bomber reconnaissance. Mom and Dad were married in 1946, and over the next several years, spent their time in The North , at Oxford House, Pukatawagan, and Nelson House, as missionary teachers. They returned to Winnipeg in 1955 to raise their growing family. Mom renewed her career in 1964, and retired from the Department of Education in 1988. Mom enjoyed life in her home on Garwood Avenue for five decades. For the past two years, Mom enjoyed new friends and activities at The Boulton , while maintaining her fiercely independent lifestyle. Mom always took a profound interest in her family. She was our hub , and will be sadly missed. A memorial service to honour Mom's life will be held on Saturday, May 24 at 1:00 p.m. at Harrow United Church, 955 Mulvey Avenue.
