Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNAOMI MARIAM VEVODA October 22, 1989 - May 17, 2008 With heavy hearts and great sadness, we announce the passing of our much loved daughter, and sister Naomi Mariam Vevoda who passed from this life suddenly on Saturday, May 17, 2008 at her home in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Remaining to cherish Naomi's memory are her father Arnost, mother Karen, brother Ernest, grandparents, special friend Chuck Fontaine along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was predeceased by Grandpas John Hall and Arnost Vevoda Sr. Naomi was full of love, compassionate and enjoyed being with others. Naomi enjoyed writing poetry, loved music, animals, and many other things. Prayers will be held on Sunday, May 25, 2008 between 7:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. from the Aboriginal Funeral Chapel, 724 Selkirk Avenue, Winnipeg. Funeral service to be held on Monday, May 26, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. from the Aboriginal Funeral Chapel. Pastor Bruce Martin officiating. Internment to follow at the Brookside Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers are Arnost Vevoda, and Chuck Fonataine. Active pallbearers are Billy Hudson, Anthony Packo, Sharon Hall and Abby Hall. The family would like to thank the Chief and council of Fairford and the ACFS Outreach for the memorial support. As well, all of their family and friends for their wonderful support.
